Which characters should play characters in a new Netflix series?

In the latest issue of EW, writer/director/producer John Ridley explains why he wants to put more emphasis on a certain group of characters in the series, which premieres in 2018.
“We were really into that concept of putting a lot of these characters in different situations.
I think it’s important for them to have a real arc.
It’s very hard to tell the story in two or three episodes,” Ridley said.
“They need to grow.
They need to go through a lot.
So I think that’s what I wanted to do.
I really like how they grew, and I think they’re going to grow even more.”

The actors who are currently in contention for the role of The Punisher are: Tom Hardy, Jon Bernthal, John Slattery, Joe Manganiello, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Charlie Hunnam, Michael Pitt, Charlie Day, Danai Gurira, Jaimie Alexander, Bokeem Woodbine, Anthony Mackie, and Amber Heard.
The Punishers, which debuts September 8 on Netflix, follows a former vigilante named Frank Castle who is tasked with hunting down criminals who murdered his father and other family members.
“Frank is a big guy,” Ridley told EW.
“He’s got a lot going for him.
And I really wanted to build him up.”
